In the modular, two-part versions of the LaserSpy sensor, the detector and evaluation units consist of separate housings that are connected via a connecting cable and form a sensor when combined. The door version detector has an extremely flat design, as the electronics are recessed into the double-walled protective element. This results in an installation height of only approx. 4 mm on the outside. In the door version, the connection between the detector unit and the evaluation unit (ideally the single evaluation unit) is made inside the protective element. The detector unit monitors a light-tight room for the entry of radiation in the respective sensitivity range of the NIR or VIS version.
